2008 Toyota Sequoia Interior Overview
The Toyota Sequoia is a well-known full-sized sport-utility vehicle by Toyota Motors. This totally restyled line-up is more or less based on the Tundra pickup truck platform. This year, it is available in three trims, such as SR5, Limited and Platinum in both two-wheel and four-wheel body-styles. The very first thing that one can notice in the interior segment is the impressive size and space. The designers, to ensure different expectations of different categories of buyers, have carefully planned every small detail. Seating
The inside cabin has been designed with utmost care to comfortably accommodate up to eight adult passengers. While the SR5 and Limited models can have eight passengers, the arrangement is for seven adult people in both the Platinum models. Power folding 60/40 split third row seats is available on the Platinum. Additionally, this trim also comes with standard sliding-type seat adjuster for added legroom on the second-row seat. All through out the three rows, one can enjoy generous legroom and headroom. The third-row seat of all the trims has an advanced seat-cushion linkage reclining mechanism that elevates rear passenger comfort to new levels. Moreover, seating has been designed for long days of driving, with a comfortable, unusually wide driver's seat with power lumbar support. The latest Sequoia covers are soft for the seats with wide bolsters and lots of flexibility that allows a driver to shift around easily during long drives.
Comfort and convenience features
To make everyday driving experience a unique one, there are class-leading interior comfort related features inside the spacious cabin. For convenient storage, there are eight extra-large cup holders and eight bottle holders along with a number of other storage spaces, such as a glove box which measures 9.5 liters and the second-row console box for keeping 12 CDs or four DVD cases. There are also two overhead compartments that can be used for storing sunglasses. The sun visors available on the models are huge and they slide on their hangers, providing effective shade for the driver and passenger all day long. The automatic air-conditioning with solar sensors and automatic left and right independent temperature controls comes as a standard feature.
Space
The new Sequoia models have been designed to comfortably tow up to 10,000 pounds and transport eight people, plus hold a huge number of cargos. With a fold-flat third-row seat that works with the help of a new, independent double-wishbone rear suspension gives ample cargo space. One can also keep a huge amount of cargoes behind the third row seat. It is a well-organized cargo area, even having tow hooks that can hang grocery bags. As the second-row seats can also be folded flat, there are some 120 cubic feet of cargo volume available for storage.
Entertainment On The Road
One can be entertained while driving the Sequoia model with its improved audio system and optimized speaker placement. The standard entertainment equipment is AM/FM CD player with auxiliary audio jack and eight speakers and as one looks at the higher trims, this system gets more upgraded. The top-of-the-line Platinum models come with the best entertainment equipment. The DVD navigation system with backup camera and JBL Synthesis® AM/FM 4-disc in-dash CD changer with auxiliary audio jack and 14 speakers is such that one can't ask for a better option. For rear passengers, a rear entertainment system is available with a DVD player and nine-inch display. This new-generation navigation system has a new menu screen and an improved dash-mounted seven-inch display.
So there is nothing to complain about the new Sequoia interior cabin.
